Day-1: Skin of Color 101
Learn everything from A-Z to treat skin of color effectively and confidently
You Will Learn:
- The physiological and anatomical differences in skin of color: How it functions differently and how you must treat it differently
- How to identify, analyze and diagnose common skin conditions found in people of African, African American, Caribbean, Hispanic, Asian, Middle Eastern, Native American and Multi-Racial decent.
- How to effectively treat and eliminate hyperpigmentation, melasma, sun damage, acne, scarring, ingrown hairs and wrinkles when treating skin of color
- Theory and video demonstrations of the safest and most effective modalities to use on your clients of color that include but are not limited to: facials, chemical peels, lasers, dermaplaning, microneedling, microcurrent, and microderm, etc.
- How to choose the best modality to treat each skin condition to yield the best results in your clients of color
- How to properly prep skin of color for more invasive treatments and modalities and how to avoid complications, downtime and contraindications during and after treatments
- How to create and implement protocols and treatment programs to treat specific skin conditions in clients of color that yield rapid and optimal results
Day-2: Hands-On Training
Day-2 will be all day hands-on training. Based on class size, students may practice hands-on training individually or in groups.
Hands-On Training Includes:
- Performing a comprehensive and detailed consultation and skin analysis on model
- Performing a signature facial/enzyme treatment on model
- Performing painless extractions effectively with or without extraction tools on model
- Practicing retailing and rebooking your clients after treatment
You will leave this 2-Day training feeling more confident when meeting new clients and performing consultations, skin analysis, extractions and facial treatments on them. You will also feel more confident developing treatment programs, selling retail and rebooking your clientele. The ultimate outcome will be an increase in client loyalty, client retention, and of course your bottom line!
